Since Katie is a news reporter, she does not have a typical 9-5, Monday-Friday job. Her only days off are Monday and Tuesday. So while we're all celebrating humpday on Wednesday, Katie has only started her work week. Make sure to check out her stories for today on WHIZnews.com.
I'm trying to convince Katie to come to Chicago on a trip with me and a couple other friends in 2 weeks, but since she's still new, she might not be able to find a replacement in time. She is certainly committed to her job as a reporter for the WHIZ. I'm glad I have weekends off. Haha.
Oh and I almost forgot to tell you all that Katie has a new pet! His name is Herbie and he is a Hamster. I was able to meet him this past weekend and he is adorable! It is especially entertaining watching him run around in his clear ball and bump into things. Maggie (another friend of Katie's) bought him hamster popsicle chew sticks to keep his teeth from growing too long. He loves them.
That's it for the updates today.
Keep checking this site for new posts!

Beginnings at Whiz News
Katie is currently at WHIZ news in Zanesville, OH. She is a reporter and will be a fill-in anchor very soon. She started a little over a month ago and is already learning so much. One thing she hopes to learn more about is tape-to-tape editing. She's reported on the town hero "Bosco" the dog who saved a police officer who had been shot. She's also reported on a Backwoods festival. Though Zanesville is a small town, Katie and her new friends hang out at local hot spots when she is not working. One such hot spot is the eatery and bar "The Barn". She also enjoys the local doughnut shop Donald's Doughnuts for breakfast.
